Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Pocketed and the services provided via pocketed.org (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account, starting a free trial or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
Pocketed is a receipt tracking and expense management service operated from New South Wales, Australia. These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Pocketed.org in respect of your use of the Service.
By accessing or using the Service, including by starting a 14-day free trial, connecting a payment method or continuing to use Pocketed after any changes to these Terms, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not access or use the Service.
Pocketed may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by updating the "Last updated" date on this page and/or by reasonable means within the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
2. Use of the Service
You may use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate and up-to-date information when creating and managing your account.
The Service is intended to help you store and organise receipts and related expense information. You must not use the Service to upload unlawful content, infringe third-party rights, attempt to gain unauthorised access to any systems, or interfere with or disrupt the operation of the Service.
Pocketed currently offers a 14-day free trial for new subscribers. At the end of the trial period, unless you cancel before the trial expires, your selected plan will convert into a paid subscription and your payment method will be automatically charged the applicable recurring subscription fee in advance each billing cycle via our payment processor (currently Stripe).
You can cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting support at [email protected]. Unless required by law, fees already paid are non-refundable and there are no refunds or credits for partial billing periods.
Pocketed reserves the right, acting reasonably, to suspend or terminate your access to the Service, or to remove or disable access to any content, if we believe you have breached these Terms, failed to pay fees when due, or are using the Service in a way that may cause harm to Pocketed, other users or third parties.
3. Data & Privacy
To provide the Service, Pocketed processes personal data that you submit, including images of receipts, transaction details, account information and usage data. We use AI-powered optical character recognition (OCR) and related technologies to extract and structure information from your uploads.
Data is stored and processed using third-party providers such as Convex (for database storage), Clerk (for authentication), Stripe (for billing) and infrastructure and AI/OCR providers. These providers may process your data in locations outside your jurisdiction. By using the Service, you consent to this processing and to the transfer of your data as described in our Privacy Policy.
Our collection, use and disclosure of personal data is further described in our Privacy Policy available on pocketed.org. By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood our Privacy Policy and agree to our data handling practices.
Pocketed does not provide legal, tax, accounting or financial advice. Any reports, summaries or analytics generated by the Service are for informational purposes only and are based on the data you provide. You are solely responsible for verifying the accuracy of any information and for complying with your tax, record-keeping and other legal obligations.
4. Limitations & Liability
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pocketed.org makes no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to any warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy or availability.
Pocketed does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that data processed (including OCR results and categorisation) will be accurate, complete or suitable for any particular purpose. You are responsible for maintaining your own backups of important data and for reviewing outputs before relying on them.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any non-excludable rights or remedies you may have under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable laws. To the extent permitted by law, Pocketed.org's total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the Service or these Terms (whether in contract, tort, statute or otherwise) is limited, at Pocketed's option, to: (a) resupplying the relevant services; or (b) the cost of having the services resupplied.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pocketed.org will not be liable for any indirect, consequential, incidental, special or punitive damages, loss of profits, loss of data, business interruption or loss of business opportunities arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damage.
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You and Pocketed.org submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales and the courts of appeal from them in relation to any dispute arising under or in connection with these Terms.
